Asset Management

Hermes Investment Management has named Orla Murphy as Research Director a new position at the firm. She will be responsible for sourcing equity and credit research from brokers and independent research providers, and managing the research budget, transaction cost analysis and other issues relevant to Markets in Financial Instruments Directive II.

RPMI CEO, Chris Hitchen will resign from the Railways Pension Scheme, within a year. The process to find a replacement has been initiated and leadership plans will be announced shortly.

Back / Middle Office

ANZ has announced the hire of Scott Manning in the role of CFO Australia, from the beginning of August. Mr. Manning moves from JP Morgan after 15 years there. He will lead the bank’s finance functions for the Australian and Digital divisions, and becomes a key member of ANZ’s finance leadership team. He will report to ANZ’s Deputy Group CFO, Shane Buggle and will be located in Melbourne. 

Steven Lo, Corporate and Finance Director at Drew & Napier has been appointed Head of Mergers and Acquisitions in Singapore. He is an expert in private and public M&A transactions in Singapore and Asia, representing bidders, target companies and financial advisers. 

IBD / Capital Markets

Jeffrey Mensch has joined Deutsche Bank AG’s M&A team as a Managing Director. He moves from MacAndrews & Forbes (M&F), where his position as Senior Vice President in the finance department.
