Dimensional Fund Advisors’ co-CIO, Gerard O’Reilly will replace Eduardo Repetto as co-CEO and becomes Chief Investment Officer at the same time.


BNY Mellon has hired Deborah Bannon as its Head of Consultant Relationships and Client Services to develop relationships with consulting firms across Asia including as Japan, Australia, Greater China and Korea.


UBS Asset Management Australia has appointed Ben Williams as new Head of Wholesale, Australasia where he becomes responsible for building, implementing and monitoring the firms’ strategic engagement with a broad range of investors, including consulting, research, platform, aligned and independent adviser channels.


Schroders has named their former Head of Institutional Defined Contribution Stephen Bowles to Head of Delegated Sales a new position created  as they look to strengthen their focus on their fiduciary management business.

Matthew Hastings has been appointed as Global Head of Energy Trading at Standard Chartered Plc. Mr. Hastings, previously worked at PetroChina as a senior trader.

The latest bankers to announce going it alone are Abhinav Shah from Barclays has just launched Rosevine Capital an event-driven value investment fund and Richie Revill, Bank of America Merrill Lynch MD, has started Sherwood Forest Capital Partners.

Betsy Duke, Vice Chair at Wells Fargo & Co has been named as replacement for Chair Stephen Sanger who retires at year-end. Cynthia Milligan and Susan Swenson, the two longest-serving directors, also retire then. Former Pricewaterhouse Coopers Principal, Juan Pujadas, joins as an independent director at the beginning of Sept.


Houlihan Lokey Inc has announced that James Wolf has joined as a Managing Director in their tax & financial reporting valuation practice within the financial advisory services.


William Tang has joined Citi as new Head of Asia Consumer and Retail Investment Banking,  moving from a similar position at HSBC.


Goldman Sachs has lost three executives as Michael Chandler, former co-head of Asia-Pacific Research Sales equity derivatives specialist , Martin Zoll and Chito Jeyarajah move to HSBC. Mr. Chandler becomes Head of Equity Sales for the region, Mr. Zoll becomes a Global Head of Corporate Equity Derivatives and Equity Linked Products and Mr. Jeyaraja has been hired to help run Equity Capital Markets Business in the region.


Credit Suisse has hired Mia Idora Ismail a senior banker from Maybank to lead their Malaysian investment banking coverage replacing Jefferi Hashim, who has moved to CIMB as a deputy CEO.

UBS veteran Gary Cohen has joined Raymond James’s Alex. Brown division as the Regional Executive of the Los Angeles office where he will oversee their expansion in Southern California.


An Alibaba-backed private bank DC Wealth has set up in Hong Kong and will be headed up by ex-UBS Director Cooper Liao.


Quilter Cheviot’s Birmingham’s Executive Director, David Jupp will take over from Sean Raftery who moves into a client-facing role.


LGT Vestra has strengthened their Business Development team by hiring Lynsey Carson as a new director in their Scottish office.


Stuart Barnett has been named Chairman Designate of the board of directors of SG Kleinwort Hambros Bank as chairman Warwick Newbury steps down to join Sandaire as chairman.

Meketa Investment Group has appointed Amy Hauke, a former Aon Hewitt executive as an Executive Vice President and Private Markets Consultant. She will be based in their headquarters in Chicago.


Angeles Equity Partners has hired Maxwell SchechterJames Lee and Shan Siddiqui three experienced professionals in Los Angeles. Mr. Schechter joins as VP of Business Development in deal origination and marketing, while Lee and Shan join as associates concentrating on the evaluation, due diligence and execution of new investment opportunities.


Paul McTaggart a Credit Suisse mining and metals banker will join Blackpeak Capital the firm founded three years ago by Scott Colvin, a long-time Credit Suisse metals and mining banker in Australia and Hong Kong.

Deutsche Bank has promoted Global Equities Boss Tom Patrick to Head of Americas business replacing Bill Woodley.
