Asset Management

Chelverton has  launched a European fund on 6 March, to be run by new managers Dale Robertson and Gareth Rudd.

March Asset Management, has appointed Jose M. Botella as Portfolio Manager. He joins from Santander Private Banking, where was Senior Portfolio Manager.

Universal Investment has appointed Daniel Flück as Director covering B2B fund sales business, responsible for distributing mutual funds to B2B clients, including banks, fund of fund mangers and intermediaries.

Trusteam Finance has appointed Stefano Franchi to manage business development on the Italian market. Franchi was previously Market Risk Analyst within the corporate and investment banking division of Crédit Agricole.

Hedge Funds

Lombard Odier Investment Managers, has named Arnaud Langlois as Portfolio Manager, to oversee the launch of a new global equity long/short investment fund “with a sustainability focus”.

IBD / Capital Markets

Two Goldman Sachs Group Inc commodity traders, Gautam Kumar, Vice President of Energy Trading and Tony DiCenso, a Base Metals Trader, both left this week,

CLSA has hired Senior Fixed Income Banker Michael Luk as Global Head of Debt Capital Markets.

David de Rothschild will step down as Chairman of Rothschild and his son Alexandre will replace him in June, as per a long established succession plan. Alexandre is currently Executive Deputy Chairman, and first joined the bank in 2008 after time at Bank of America and Bear Stearns.


Bryan Holgerson has been appointed new Market President for Health Care and Benefits Plans in Georgia and Alabama, at Cigna.

Private Banking / Wealth Management

Plancorp, has appointed of Chris Kerckhoff as its CEO, in addition to his role as President.

Dale E. Reed who left JPMorgan Chase & Co.’s private bank at the beginning of this February has joined Merrill Lynch’s private banking and investment group.

United Overseas Bank has appointed Heng Yeow Kwang to its private bank as the Market Head of Indonesia. He was previously co-Market head of Indonesia at Bank of Singapore.

Mirabaud has poached Kaspar Hess and three other private bankers from Credit Suisse.

Jean-Luc Le Tocq and Craig Allen, have been appointed to Julius Baer’s Guernsey branch management board. Le Tocq will on leading a team of relationship managers working with locally-based clients, Channel Islands-based structures and UK resident, non-domiciled individuals and Allen, oversees the investment management business locally on the island.

Balance Point Capital has named Adam Sauerteig as Vice President and Grant Goher as senior associate.

A team of former HSBC alternatives investors, consisting of Paul Forshaw former Global Head of Real Estate at HSBC Alternative Investments as well as Toby Evans, Harry Heathcoat Amory and Will Michell, who served as directors at HSBC Alternative Investments, has launched Blue Noble LLP, a boutique acquiring and managing European property investments on behalf of HNWI clients.


LUX Fund Technology and Solutions has hired Christopher Bloechle as Chief Technology Officer, and promoted founding partner, Mark Christine, to Chief Innovation Officer.
