Nathan Shetty, co-Head of Investment Solutions Portfolio Management at UBS Asset Management, will leave next month. Philip Brides, has taken over as sole Head of the Investment Solutions Portfolio Management team.


Aberdeen Standard Investments has poached Andrew Hendry from Westoun Advisors to head up distribution of their Asia Pacific region.


The Canada Pension Plan Investment Board has appointed Suyi Kim as Senior MD & Head of Asia Pacific, overseeing its growing investment portfolio in the region.


WisdomTree has appointed Christopher Gannatti as Head of Research in Europe, leading a four-strong analyst team comprised of Nick Leung, Associate Director and Florian Ginez, Senior Quantitative Associate at WisdomTree responsible for macroeconomic analysis and formulating investment strategies and trade ideas, as well as Nitesh Shah, Director and Aneeka Gupta, Associate Director who have joined from ETF Securities.


Søren Milo Christensen, currently Portfolio Manager of Skagen Global, has taken over as lead Portfolio Manager of SKAGEN Vekst from Øyvind Fjell who has taken up a position as Portfolio Manager at DNB in Oslo.


Aviva Investors has appointed Charles Jewkes as Head of Global Financial Institutions. He will lead Aviva Investors’ third party strategic business development with global financial institutions outside the UK.


IBD / Capital Markets

Jefferies has poached Martyn Nicholas, a senior Deutsche Bank dealmaker to lead its utilities investment banking team Europe.


Deutsche Bank has hired Karen Pang, an equity-linked banker based in Hong Kong, has left BNP Paribas, in an equity capital markets position.


BNP Paribas has appointed Paul Yang as Acting CEO for China until a replacement is announced.


Barclays has appointed Paul Early, MD Head of Natural Resources Asia Pacific and and Richard Satchwell to lead a new office of Barclays Capital Asia based in Sydney as they move back into Australia.


Insurance

Willis Towers Watson, has appointed Jim O’Connor as Head of Specialties Broking, Jon Drummond as Head of Casualty Broking, and Amelia Valz as Head of Construction Professional Liability Broking, all for North America.


Steve Paraboschi has joined International Medical Group as Executive Vice President. He will be responsible for P&L across the company and support of IMG’s international insurance distribution and operations. Mr. Paraboschi joins from AXA Assistance USA, where he served as CEO.


Peter Rasmussen has been named Vice President of Business Development at USA Risk Group (Americas).


Private Banking / Wealth Management

Stifel has poached a UBS team managing $300 million in client assets.  Advisors Ken Miller and husband-and-wife duo Tony and Bianca Urdes, join the regional brokerage firm in Portland, Oregon.


Andbank Spain has appointed Tomás Genís as a Private Banker for its Barcelona office. Genís joins from Deutsche Bank, where he was Private Banking Investments Adviser.

Societe Generale has named Inhwan Oh new Head of Global Markets Sales for Asia Pacific, replacing Yann Garnier, who became Head of Sales for Global Markets.
