Asset Management

BlackRock, has hired Mirjam Staub-Bisang as Head of Switzerland (Central Europe, Europe, Western Europe).


Schroders has appointed Lesley-Ann Morgan as Head of Multi-Asset Strategy, with a focus on strategic partnerships with clients globally. She moves from Schroders, where she was Global Head of Retirement and Defined Contribution (DC).


Close Brothers Asset Management has named Andrew Mackintosh-Walker and John Henderson as Managing Directors. Walker was Investment Director and Deputy Head of Rathbones’ Edinburgh office, while Henderson was Regional Director at Rathbones.


Invesco has appointed Elizabeth Gillam to the newly-created role of Head of EU government relations and public policy in Brussels. She joins from AllianzGI, where she was a senior policy and regulatory affairs liaison.


Hedge Funds

Danielle Luk is joining Millennium Management to start a new volatility team at the New York-based hedge fund firm after leaving Pacific Investment Management Co.


UBS has hired two investment bankers for its unit serving private equity clients. Andrew Holloway, moves from Deutsche Bank, and Igor de Limur, moves from Lehman Brothers.


Insurance

Sang Hui Lee has been appointed Group CEO for Manulife Holdings Bhd (MHB) and CEO of Manulife Insurance Bhd (MIB).


Private Banking / Wealth Management

Northern Trust Corp has named Dane Fannin as Global Head of Securities Lending.


Liechtensteinische Landesbank has appointed Patrick Fuerer as Chief Operating Officer and member of the Executive Board. Fuerer, was the last CEO of Notenstein La Roche before Vontobel assumed the private-banking division of Raiffeisen.


Kelly Coffey, the legendary banker at the helm of J.P. Morgan’s private bank, has resurfaced as Chief Executive Officer of City National Bank, succeeding Russell Goldsmith.


REYL & Cie has appointed James Spooner as MD in Corporate Advisory & Structuring. He joins from Goldman Sachs’ Securities Division.


Private Equity / Direct Investment

Chris Yoshida, the former Head of Global Rates Distribution at Deutsche Bank, has joined private equity firm The Carlyle Group in London as a full time Senior Advisor.
