BNP Paribas Asset Management has recruited Hilda Tingle as Global Head of Digital Marketing.

Merck Finck has appointed Stefan Ludwig as Head of Hamburg branch, effective 1 January 2019.

Annacarla Dellepiane has joined Legal & General Investment Management as Head of ETF Capital Markets. She moves from State Street.

Muzinich & Co. has appointed Tom Douie as Global Head of Distribution. He joins from Neuberger Berman.

Schroders has named Rory Bateman as Head of Equities.

The UK Pensions Regulator has hired Charles Counsell as Chief Executive. He succeeds Lesley Titcomb.

The Asset Management division of Invesco has appointed Franco Rossetti as ETF Senior Relationship Manager.

Kames Capital has appointed Tom Richardson as Investment Manager of their Indirect Property team. He joins from Aberdeen Standard Investments, where he was a Senior Investment Manager in the Real Estate Multi-Manager team.

Nick Gartside, one of JPMorgan Asset Management’s most senior investment professionals in Europe, has left the group to “pursue other opportunities”

Hedge Funds

AQR, has poached Ryan Rampersaud as new Head of Client Solutions from BlackRock.

CQS, has appointed Xavier Rolet as Chief Executive, succeeding Sir Michael Hintze, founder of CQS.

Trium Capital, has hired industrials specialist Jonathan Ingram to manage a new developed market, industrials-focused equity market neutral strategy.

IBD / Capital Markets

UBS is in talks with Bank of America’s ex-Investment Banking Head Christian Meissner, as a potential successor to Sergio Ermotti.


Philip Kent has been appointed Chief Executive Officer, MSIG Hong Kong, succeeding former CEO Ken Reid, who has retired.

The Life Insurance Association of Malaysia has appointed Mark O’Dell as its first CEO.

Aurous Risk Partners, has appointed energy underwriters, Animesh Majrekar and Robert Little, both of whom previously held positions at reinsurer Qatar Re and global insurer Zurich.

Andrew Jackson has decided to step back from his role as Managing Director, Property, Casualty, Technical and Special Risks for the UK, Europe and Singapore at international loss adjuster Charles Taylor Adjusting.

Private Banking / Wealth Management

More than 20 advisers have left Macquarie Group’s, Private Wealth division of  amid concerns about the group’s narrow focus on wealthy clients and its new fee and remuneration model. Many have moved to rival firms across Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth and Canberra. Adelaide was the hardest hit with more than 10 advisers including John Fowler, Emma Trengove and Nick Pyne joining former colleague Brenton Howard at Ord Minnett. Queensland-based Morgans Financial had just poached another group, including Peter Harris, Tim Clarke and Piers Arundell to set up a new outpost in Adelaide. In Perth, nine advisers left, including Trent Savage, Andrew White, Michael Harwood, Matthew Chambers, Bevan Sturgess-Smith and Michael Moursellas.

Credit Suisse has hired former Citi banker, Natt Thanomsat as new Head of Wealth Management Thailand, taking over from Thippa Praneeprachachon, who will retire after more than three decades in the private banking industry.

Private Equity / Direct Investment

Carsten Demmler has joined Warburg-HIH Invest as Head of Capital Management. He joins from Nord/LB, where he was  Head of Sales.

Sovereign Wealth Fund

NZ Super, has appointed Stephen Gilmore as new Chief Investment Officer. He joins from Future Fund in Australia where he was Chief Investment Strategist.
