Jupiter Asset Management has raided J.P. Morgan Asset Management again appointing Mark Richards as a Strategist in its Multi-Asset team.


Artemis Investment Management has hired Antonia Stirling from Standard Life Aberdeen as co-Head of Stewardship, a role she will share with Inez Oliver.


Close Brothers Asset Management has named Andrew Hess Managing Director of its recently launched office in the West End of London.


Hermes Investment Management has appointed two senior executives to its new Ireland-domiciled management company, with Carol Mahon named Head of Ireland, a newly created role and Aoifinn Devitt as Head of Investment-Ireland.


Jose Castellano has joined iM Global Partner as Deputy CEO and Head of International Business Development.


Allianz Global Investors has further expanded its European private debt offering by adding Adrian Grammerstorf to its mid-market investment capability in Germany. He joins from UniCredit.


Merian Global Investors has appointed Nieves Picallo as Sales Manager for Spain and Portugal. She joins from BrightSphere Investment Group, where she was most recently Director of the Institutional Client team for Europe.


Steinbeis & Häcker asset management has appointed Nils Bartram as the new Head of Equity Management. He was previously at Hauck & Aufhäuser.


BlueBay Asset Management has appointed Maria Bentley as an independent Non-Executive Board Member and Chair of the Remuneration Committee, replacing Alan Gibbins, who retires.

Citadel has folded its Fundamental Strategies unit into two other businesses and laid off, Director of Research and Portfolio Manager Michael Doniger.


Francesco Garzarelli, former co-Head of Global Macro and Market Research at Goldman Sachs Group Inc., has joined Eisler Capital (UK).


BlueMountain Capital Management is closing its long-short equity fund just two years after launching, resulting in four Equity Portfolio Managers being fired.


Banque de Luxembourg Investments has hired Laurence Terryn as Senior Analyst for its fund selection team.

Vignesh Rajendran an MD at Evercore with a background in M&A has joined quant fund Two Sigma.


Citigroup Inc has hired Greg Saksida from TD Securities to head energy investment banking in Canada.


Bank of America has appointed Jiro Seguchi and Jin Su as co-Presidents of the Asia Pacific region, following Matthew Koder’s move to become Global Head of Corporate and Investment Banking at the end of 2018.


Insurance

Glen Browne, Chubb’s Head of Accident and Health for Asia Pacific, has been given two additional regional leadership positions; Division President for South-East Asia and Deputy Regional President for Asia Pacific.


Re/insurer MS Amlin’s Chief Financial Officer, John Worth is stepping down from his role to join Hastings Group, where he succeeds Richard Hoskins, who has decided to retire from his position as Group CFO.

Stifel hired several wirehouse advisors overseeing $325 million in client assets, including former Merrill Lynch advisors, Joseph Brady, who joined in Binghamton, New York, and  Jonathan Register, who will work from the regional BD’s office in Birmingham, Alabama. Stifel has also hired Clifford Bartlett from Wells Fargo in New York.


Stifel Financial Corp has hired Warwick Carter as Senior Wealth Advisor to its unit 1919 Investment Counsel.


Deutsche Bank Wealth Management has hired former Tressis veteran Javier Monjardín as Investments Adviser.


Julius Baer has proposed Romeo Lacher for election as new non-Executive Chairman of the Board at the upcoming Annual General Meeting to be held on 10 April 2019, to succeed Daniel J. Sauter, who will not seek re-election after his tenure of 12 years as board member. The board has nominated Eunice Zehnder-Lai and Olga Zoutendijk for election as new board members.
