RPMI Railpen, has appointed John Chilman as  CEO. He joins from National Grid where he served as Group Head of Pensions, and succeeds Phil Willcock who leaves next month.


Fintech

Daniel Haudenschild is the new President of the Crypto Valley Association. He left his job as CEO of Swisscom’s blockchain arm suddenly and with no explanation last week.


Hedge Funds

Danesmead Partners, has appointed former FRM Head of Operational Due Diligence, Haliday Casey to their London office as a Principal of the firm.


Insurance

Mathias Sommer has been named Head of Operations for Zurich Canada.


Willis Re, has announced leadership changes within its Australia division, including the appointment of John Philipsz as Deputy Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Willis Re Australia, effective immediately. The also announced that Head of Catastrophic Analytics for its International unit, Karl Jones, will  relocate from London to Sydney; and Warren Dresner, Willis Re Australia’s Head of Broking, will relocate to Miami.


Hyperion Insurance Group has named Miguel Baptista the Chief Data Officer of Hyperion X, its recently launched business targeting key areas of data, analytics and digital platform delivery. He joins from MSD where he served as Senior Director of Information Platforms.

UBS has hired former SMRT Corp CEO Desmond Kuek as Divisional Vice Chairman for Global Wealth Management.
