Daily People Moves – March 20


Former BlackRock Nicole Vettise joined Franklin Templeton as Senior Vice President, Institutional Portfolio Manager (IPM) within the firm’s Emerging Markets Equity’s (FTEME) investment team. Based in London, her primary role is to support FTEME’s full suite of strategies for clients in Europe and North America. Vetisse previously managed a team of product strategists for equity strategies including natural resources and thematic funds at BlackRock.

New York-based asset manager Navy Capital hired Chetan Gulati as Head of Research. Most recently, Gulati served as a Partner at Smith Cove Capital. Additionally, the firm also appointed Kevin McLaughlin as CFO and Jaci Daudt as Director of Investor Relations.

Family Office

Matthew T Panarese moved to Rockefeller Capital Management as a Managing Director. In this capacity, he will focus on serving ultra-wealthy clients with wealth and tax planning, wealth transfer strategies and family office services, including helping families manage their complex financial needs and multi-generational wealth planning. Before joining Rockefeller, Panarese served as President of the Mid-Atlantic Region for Wilmington Trust Company.

Private Banking / Wealth Management

Despite forthcoming ambiguities caused by Brexit, Swiss lender Julius Baer is committed to expand its business in the U.K. with three recent senior hires. Colin Aitken joins from UBS where he served as co-founder and former head for nine years. Mark Dooner was head of investment management and financial planning at Tilney before moving to the Manchester office of Julius Baer. Laurence Patmore joins from Barclays Wealth and brings over 20 years of industry experience. All of them will report to Calum Brewster, managing director and head of UK regional offices.

Former Abante Asesores private banker Ana Pascual joins Spanish Banca March. Prior to this, she also assumed various analysis and consultancy positions at BDO, Natixis or Indra.

IBD / Capital Markets

UBS continues to expand its Industrials team by hiring investment banker Giuseppe Chiusa who will start in June. Chiusa joins from Bank of America Merrill Lynch.

Credit Suisse hired Rober Peck, a former Credit Suisse internet banker. Based in New York, Peck will assume the role of chairman of global internet banking effective June.

Keith Style recently moved to The Presidio Group as Principal. He will be responsible for M&A, corporate finance and principal investing activities of the firm. The Presidio Group is considered one of the leading merchant banks and investment advisors in the retail automotive sector.


Paul Sankey has been recently promoted as global head of oil and gas at Liberty Specialty Markets (LSM), on top of his existing role as head of energy and construction teams based in London.

Back / Middle Office

Andrew Stewart joins MUFG Investor Services as Executive Director of Private Equity and Real Asset Sales for EMEA. In this role, he will initiate sales and growth of the firm’s asset servicing solutions to investors and managers across the private equity and real asset sectors in EMEA. This also include fund administration, outsourcing, custody, depositary, trustee, fund of fund financing, among other banking and treasury solutions.

Ex-Cantor Fitzgerald Howard M Green moved to GAMCO Investors as Senior Vice President of Corporate Development. Green brings over 25 years of experience in senior management roles across the financial services industry: wealth management, FinTech, international broker dealers and asset managers. Green is part of the management executive team, reporting directly to the Chairman.
