Daily People Moves – April 11


Nuveen Real Estate has named Carly Tripp as Chief Investment Officer. In this new role, she will be responsible for overall investment strategy, acquisitions, dispositions, asset management and financings. Previously, she was global head of real estate and alternatives for TIAA General Account.

Jun Bei Liu has been promoted to Lead Portfolio Manager at Tribeca Investment Partners. Replacing Sean Fenton, she will oversee the $1 billion Tribeca Alpha Plus Fund. Prior this promotion, Liu was a co-manager of the long/short fund.

Vjerana Spajic rejoined AlpInvest as a Vice President, Secondary Investments team. Most recently, she was an investment director focused on preferred equity investments in Europe at 17Capital. Based in London, Spajic will focus on the sourcing, diligence and execution of secondary investments with a particular emphasis on structured equity and preferred equity investments.

Private Banking / Wealth Management

Standard Chartered banker Lena Ho has left the company’s private banking division in Singapore. Ho’s departure comes in the midst of resignations amongst the bank’s relationship managers.

Morgan Stanley Wealth Management promoted Kathleen R. Grasmeder to Managing Director. Grasmeder has been working at the firm for more than 20 years and recently served as portfolio management director and financial advisor located in Oneonta and Glens Falls.

Mubashar Ayoob has been appointed as Head of Wealth Management in Gulf region at Deutsche Bank. He joined the bank in 2011 and played a significant role in growing the business in the Gulf region.

Martin Tricaud is named new Chief Executive Officer for the Middle East, North Africa and Turkey (MENAT) region. Tricaud was CEO of HSBC Australia since 2017 and is reported to be relocating to Dubai from Sydney.

CEO Cédric Anker has left Geneva-based Banque Cramer after 1.5 years.

IBD / Capital Markets

Citigroup has named Maja Torun as Investment Banking Co-Head in France. She will manage the business with Emmanuel Regniez, who was promoted to the same role in October 2017.

Tamao Sasada has been appointed as Country Executive for Japan at Bank of America. She was also named as President of Merrill Lynch Japan Securities and will be a member of the bank’s Asia Pacific executive committee. Sasada replaces Jiro Seguchi, who was appointed co-president for Asia Pacific in January.

Macquarie Capital has hired Michael Magliana as Co-Head for the Americas, Europe and Asia, focusing on developing relationships in lending and advisory. Camelia Robu also joined the firm to lead the leveraged finance business in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Magliana comes from Jefferies while Robu joins from HSBC.


Nicola Hodson and John Reizenstein have been recently appointed as Non-Executive Directors at Beazley. Hodson is presently Vice President of Field Transformation for Microsoft Global Sales and Marketing. Reizenstein was a former Chief Financial Officer of Direct Line Insurance Group and brings with him an extensive financial services experience across insurance, investment banking, and markets.

Colleen Graham has joined Boston Private as General Counsel. Prior to this, she was Founder and CEO of NextGen Compliance, a legal and compliance advisory firm.
