Buyside

Thu Ha Chow has been named Portfolio Manager on Asia Credit Strategies at Loomis Sayles Investments Asia. Based in Singapore, she will be responsible for identifying Asian corporate credit investment opportunities across the emerging market debt portfolios. She joined the firm in 2016 as a senior credit research analyst covering Asian corporate credits.

MetLife Investment Management (MIM), MetLife’s institutional asset management business has appointed Matthew Mosca as Global Head of Institutional Client Group. Mosca most recently served as head of strategy for BlackRock’s Official Institutions Group. In this new role, he will focus on institutional client strategy and the delivery of investment solutions to clients globally.

PGGM Chief Executive Edwin Velzel returned to his position after being away for five months due to illness. During the time Velzel was away, Kees Beuving fulfilled the role of temporary chief executive, working co-CEO with Paul Boomkamp, the firm’s chief finance and risk officer.

Chief Executive Officer Ross McEwan has left Royal Bank of Scotland Group. The search for his immediate replacement is ongoing. The bank is open to potential candidates from Australia, U.K. and Canada.

Insurance

Argo Seguros has hired Newton Queiroz as Chief Executive Officer. He previously served as chief commercial officer of Latin American at Swiss Re.

Insurtech Dovetail Insurance has appointed Michael Ferber as Chief Executive Officer. Ferber previously held the post of chief information officer of ICAT, a digital-based underwriter of U.S catastrophe insurance.

Liberty Specialty Markets has promoted Kerry Hall to Underwriting Manager for property. In addition, Richard Wheeler has been appointed as Senior Business and Strategic Development Underwriter. Both Hall and Wheeler were former senior underwriters in the firm’s property binders team.
