PGIM names Cameron Lochhead as Global Head of Institutional Relationship Group. Lochhead initially joined PGIM in 2016. Before that, he held leadership roles at Russell Investments and Guggenheim Partners.
PIMCO has hired Jamie Weinstein as Managing Director, Portfolio Manager and Head of Corporate Special Situations. In this role, he will strengthen the firm’s competence across a broad range of opportunistic and alternative strategies, with a focus on special situations in the corporate credit space. Weinstein joins from KKR where he worked for 14 years, most recently as a portfolio manager for credit and special situations portfolios.
Tej Johar has been appointed as a Portfolio Manager at Man Group Plc. He will join the firm’s European long-short equity team. Johar most recently worked at hedge fund Broad Bridge Capital.
Element Capital plans on cutting manager numbers after a disappointing May performance. Due to this, the firm has decided to close its portfolio manager program resulting to the exit of the following: Matthew Isherwood, Don Carson, Pablo Duran Steinman, Mark Dragten, Tom O’Shea and Graeme Hawinkels.
After 11 years, Danilo Verdecanna is leaving his post as Italy Country Head at State Street Global Advisors. Before taking on the country head role, Verdecanna was responsible for the development of the firm’s wholesale distribution in Italy.
East Capital has hired new people for its three international offices. Jakob Wikander joins the Stockholm office as a Portfolio Manager responsible for East Capital Multi-Strategy Fund. Wikander previously served as a portfolio manager and analyst for Bank of Åland. Also joining the Stockholm team is Michał Czerwiński as an Analyst. He will be responsible for research coverage of Central and Eastern Europe. Czerwiński has gained solid knowledge on Eastern Europe markets from previous stints at Santander Brokerage Poland and Trigon. Sanat Sachar has been hired as an Analyst for the Dubai office, handling Middle Eastern market. Sanat formerly worked at AL Mal Capital. Francois Perrin has been recently appointed as Head of Asia, while continuing his role in investment and research activities for Greater China.
Bramshill Investments expands its sales and marketing team by hiring Nicolas Amato, Ashley Pullen and John Wasilewski. Amato joins as a Managing Director in the Newport Beach office. He previously served as head of alternative portfolio management at Wilshire Associates. Pullen, who ran her own boutique capital advisory firm, Sparhawk, was hired as an Executive Director in the New York office. Also based in New York, Wasilewski used to work for Bridgewater Associates, Pine River Capital Management and two emerging hedge funds.
Angelo Gordon names Sunil Kothari as a Managing Director responsible for originating and executing residential and consumer debt investment opportunities across Europe. Before moving to Angelo Gordon, Kothari served as executive vice president, portfolio manager at PIMCO Europe.
Alison Wallis has joined GAM Investments as a Director of Institutional Business in Sydney. Wallis was the former director of servicing for institutional investors at Brookvine, a Sydney-based provider of investment management services.
Viking Global Investors has appointed Ning Jin as sole Chief Investment Officer for public equities, following the departure of co-CIO Benjamin Jacobs.
Daniel P. Hanson has been named Chief Investment Officer at Waddell & Reed Financial, the parent company of Ivy Investment Management. Hanson will lead Ivy Investment Management and is also joining the company’s leadership team. Hanson was most recently head of impact investing at JANA Partners.
TCW’s Group Managing Director and Head of Alternative Products Jess Ravich has left the firm.
Institutional Limited Partners Association (ILPA) has chosen Neil Randall, managing director of private equity at the Teacher Retirement System of Texas to serve as the board’s chair. Randall replaces Tanya Carmichael, managing director of global funds at the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan, who left as scheduled, after a successful 3.5-year tenure in the role.
Head of Japan Paul Kirby has left Martin Currie after working for four years in the firm. Kirby previously worked at PK Investment Management and GAM.
SANNE has appointed David Fowler to the role of Country Head for Singapore. Fowler will be responsible for continuing to drive the firm’s alternatives and corporate offering in Singapore and across the region. Fowler joins from PwC Singapore where he worked as a Director for PwC’s Venture Hub.
Jean Tan has joined Capital Group as a Marketing Director for Singapore and Southeast Asia. Based in Singapore, Tan previously served as regional head of marketing at Natixis Investment Managers.

Evercore Wealth Management has promoted Stephanie Hackett, Helena Jonassen and Kate Mulvany to Partner. Hackett joined the firm as a portfolio manager in 2014, responsible for research and due diligence of alternative investments. Jonassen also joined Evercore in 2014 as a wealth & fiduciary advisor for wealth planning and fiduciary and family office issues. Mulvany moved to the firm in 2009 as a wealth & fiduciary advisor for wealth planning, fiduciary and philanthropic matters.
Chief Executive Andrew Fleming is leaving Waverton Investment Management after four years. Fleming was appointed CEO in 2015.
UBS has promoted Stephane Targui to Co-head of foreign exchange, rates and credit (FRC) Asia sales, banks and corporates. Targui initially joined the firm in 2015, managing the FRC distribution, institutional and hedge fund coverage.
Nathan Solomon has joined Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group as a Foreign Exchange Trader in Hong Kong. Solomon used to work as an FX trader at Credit Agricole CIB.
NAB hired David Pieri as a Foreign Exchange Derivatives Trader. Pieri most recently served as an executive director at Nomura.
Cyber insurer Coalition has appointed Brian Specht as Head of Affinity. Before joining Coalition, Specht served as chief underwriting officer and chief broking officer at Aon Affinity US.
Allianz Asia has named Anusha Thavarajah as Regional CEO, Life & Health. She most recently worked at AIA Berhad.
Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty has appointed Tom Fadden as AGCS Global Head of Aviation and Ulrich Kadow as AGCS Global Head of Marine. Currently, Fadden is regional head of aviation for regional unit London and global airline product leader. Kadow is chief agent of AGCS Canada, and will maintain a dual leadership role for both the country and the Marine line of business until a successor in Canada is selected.
Richard Phelps has been hired as an Enterprise Client Group Leader in the UK at Aon. Before joining Aon, Phelps held various senior client-focused positions at Barclays Investment Bank.

Spiros Giannaros joins State Street Corporation as Executive Vice President and Head of Platform Strategies. In this newly created role, Giannaros will ensure an integrated and coordinated approach between the firm’s product offerings, its front-to-back platform development, and the data that is managed. He formerly worked as global head of enterprise data management at HIS Markit.
MUFG Americas has named Eva Radtke as Managing Director and Chief Communications Officer. She will lead the communications function, serving individual, corporate and institutional clients in the United States, Canada and Latin America. Radtke held a similar role at BNY Mellon.
