Buyside

Columbia Threadneedle Investments has added to its Global Investment Solutions team by hiring Dr. Stuart Jarvis as a Senior Research Director. Jarvis was most recently a managing director in the portfolio research group at BlackRock Investment Institute.

Marc Brönnimann has joined Amundi as a Sales Manager for the distribution business in Switzerland. Before Amundi, Brönnimann has worked for Blackrock/iShares, where he managed external asset managers and family offices.

Invesco has appointed Ali Zouiten and Derek Steeden for the newly created roles of Director of Derivatives Solutions Development and Portfolio Manager respectively. Both will lead and develop the team to manage liability-aware and multi-asset overlay portfolios, particularly for pensions and insurance clients. Zouiten was the former head of investments for product development at HSBC Global Asset Management. Steeden served as a portfolio manager at Legal & General Investment Management.

Nikhil Sharma has joined Tudor Investment Corporation as a Portfolio Manager. Prior to joining Tudor Investment, Sharma has worked as a global macro portfolio manager at Koch Supply & Trading.

Insight Investment has recently appointed the following to its Client Solutions Group: Solution Designers Callum Duffy from KPMG, Emily Tann from Hymans Robertson and Phil Spencer from Legal & General Investment Management. The firm has also hired Blanca Koenig from DWS Group as a Client Director, and Lauren Colfer as a Client Service Specialist, who has joined from BNY Mellon.

Baird Advisors has appointed Lyle Fitterer as a Managing Director, Senior Portfolio Manager and Co-leader of the firm’s municipal strategies. Fitterer served as a senior portfolio manager, co-head of global fixed income and head of the municipal fixed-income team at Wells Fargo Asset Management.

CBRE Global Investors has named Jeroen de Grunt the new Portfolio Manager for the CBRE Pan-European Core Fund (PEC). De Grunt joined the firm in 2014 as a senior portfolio director, separate accounts for Continental Europe EMEA.

Knight Frank has promoted Mark Routledge as a Partner within its Capital Markets team. Before that, Routledge was head of office investment at CBRE for more than nine years.

Thomas Jost has joined VP Bank in Singapore as Head of Intermediaries. Jost brings with him almost 20 years of experience in financial services, including eight years in the Singapore financial center.

Former Deutsche Bank Varun Nayyar has joined Segantii Capital Management in Hong Kong. He will focus on FX, rates and short-term interest rates (Stir) trading. Previously, Nayyar was a director at Deutsche Bank in New York.

Jason Vitale has been appointed Global Head of Foreign Exchange at BNY Mellon. Vitale previously held the role of chief operating officer for FX markets and head of client execution services at the bank.

Insurance

Willis Towers Watson has announced the appointment of Peter Foster as Chairman of Global FINEX Cyber and Cyber Risk Solutions. Foster has been working at the firm for more than 14 years and has been instrumental in the growth of its global cyber capabilities.

Chubb has promoted Janene Blizzard to Vice President Accident & Health (A&H) for the UK and Ireland and Eurasia and Africa. Previously, she was head of A&H corporate and global accounts for the UK and Ireland. Edward Kopp has been appointed as Senior Vice President for Chubb’s accident and health business in the Asia-Pacific. Kopp was the former country president for Thailand’s general insurance business.

Stephane Louvrier has been appointed as General Manager, Greater China at Now Health International Group. Stephen Wong has also been appointed as General Manager, China. Louvrier joins from Cigna where he served as deputy director for IGO health benefits. Wong joined the firm in 2018.
