Head of Macro Strategies Colin Lancaster has left Citadel. This transpired after the merging of the macro unit into its global fixed income group. Other departures from the macro unit include Gordon Ibrahim, a portfolio manager who joined in July 2018; and James Egelhof, head of research.

HSBC Global Asset Management has promoted Joanna Munro to Global Chief Investment Officer (CIO). She takes over from Chris Cheetham who is retiring from the firm. Munro is currently Global Head of Stewardship and Fiduciary Governance and Chairperson of HSBC Global Asset Management UK.

Adam Marcus has joined Providence Strategic Growth Capital Partners. He will help the firm expand its business of investing in lower middle-market software and technology-enabled service companies.

Fiera Capital has appointed Michael Quigley as Executive Vice President and Head of Institutional Markets. He will lead the firm’s Canadian institutional distribution strategy. Prior to Fiera Capital, Quigley was vice president and led the institutional business development team for Phillips, Hager & North.

Sean Ozbolt has joined Riverside Co. as a Managing Partner. In this role, Ozbolt will oversee the firm’s new value investing initiative. Before Riverside, he was a partner at Aurora Capital Group.

Umi Mehta has joined Morgan Stanley as a Managing Director of global internet. Mehta most recently served as managing director and head of U.S. internet investment banking at the Bank of America.

Former PM’s Brexit negotiator Olly Robbins will join Goldman Sachs as a Managing Director after a sabbatical.

Back / Middle Office

Vik Sawhney has been named Chief Administrative Officer and Global Head of investor relations and business development at Blackstone Group. He will assist in day-to-day operations of the firm; partner with Blackstone’s business groups, regional offices and support teams on strategic initiatives to better integrate the firm’s divisions; continue to oversee the firm’s capital markets business; and oversee the firm’s relationships with its limited partners. Before that, he was COO of the firm’s private equity business.
