Buyside

M&G Portfolio Manager for Japan Johan du Preez has left the firm to pursue other opportunities. He joined the firm in 2015 from Prudential where he handled Japan equities in Hong Kong and Prudential’s Eastspring Investments in Singapore.

Invesco has appointed Jaijit Kumar as Head of Asia Insurance Solutions. Kumar joins from Aviva Asia where he worked as chief investment officer for more than three years.

Myles Bradshaw has left Amundi to join JP Morgan Asset Management as Head of Fixed Income and Commodities business. Bradshaw was head of global aggregate fixed income portfolios at Amundi.

Vincent Denoiseux has joined Lyxor as Head of ETF Research and Solutions. Before moving to Lyxor, Denoiseux was head of portfolio solutions at DWS.

Insurance

Chief Executive Officer Chris Fischer Hirs has left Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS). He has worked in the Allianz AGCS group for more than two decades, having joined the company in 1999.

Back / Middle Office

Paul Hamill has joined Privium Fund Management as Chief Operating Officer. Hamill served almost six years at HSBC as global head of prime finance, where he led the creation of the business and its business development direction.

Oliver Horbelt has been appointed Chief Financial Officer at Munich Re U.S. Horbelt will take oversight of the financial operations for Munich Re’s U.S. businesses, which includes Munich Re, US, Munich Re Specialty Insurance, American Modern Insurance Group, and Hartford Steam Boiler Inspection and Insurance Company. Previously, Horbelt has served as Head of Munich Re, US’ Capital Partners Americas business unit where he has led a team of experts dedicated to supporting clients’ needs when addressing complex risks and capital management challenges.

Joanna Rose has joined Apollo Global Management as Global Head of Corporate Communications. Rose joins from Related Companies where she served as EVP of corporate affairs, responsible for internal, external and executive communications and public affairs.
