DWS has named Bjoern Jesch its new Country Head for Switzerland, effective immediately. He joined the firm in July as Head of Multi Asset and Solutions. Before that, Jesch worked for Credit Suisse Asset Management.

Alan Pardee joined Valor Equity Partners as a Managing Director within the firm’s external relations team. Pardee, a fundraising veteran, co-founded Mercury Capital Advisors with managing partners Enrique Cuan and Michael Ricciardi in 2009. Mercury was acquired in 2019 by Bahrain-based investment firm Investcorp.

Renewable energy investment specialist Jon Sigurdsen is stepping down from his role at DNB Asset Management. Co-manager Christian Rom took on the role of sole lead on the Renewable Energy fund.

Gunther Kramert has joined Deka Investment’s dividend equity team. Kramert previously worked at Union Investment for 11 years, joining in 2007 as a portfolio manager. He left in 2018 for personal reasons.

Fort Worth (Texas) Employees’ Retirement Fund has named Derrick Dagnan its new Chief Investment Officer, effective October 1. Dagnan is currently deputy CIO of the Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System.

Cathy Carilli has been appointed as a Senior Portfolio Manager at Fiduciary Trust International. She joins the firm from US Trust, Bank of America Wealth Management, where she worked for 24 years, most recently as managing director and senior portfolio manager.


Lauren Folkard as Vice President and Head of Cyber for the London Market at Sompo International Holdings. Most recently, Folkard served as a cyber class underwriter at Barbican.

Cover Genius has appointed Arijit Chakraborty as its Managing Director for South-East Asia and India. Before joining the insurtech firm, Chakraborty held senior leadership roles at Manulife, Tokio Marine and Zurich.
