Buyside

PFA Asset Management has appointed Irene Holmslykke its new Chief Executive Officer, effective September 1. Holmslykke, who joined the firm in 2019, will replace Christian Lindstrom Lage, who is retiring in October.

Christine Schmitz has joined ATP as Deputy Director. Schmitz previously worked for Deloitte Consulting where she served as a partner.

Anthony Giret has joined Gam’s credit research team. He was appointed by Atlanticomnium, which has run the strategy on behalf of Gam since 1985. Prior to this, he spent seven years as an analyst at independent credit research firm and ratings agency, Spread Research, mostly covering European high yield bonds.

Private Banking / Wealth Management

Jean-Christophe Gerard has been named Barclays Private Bank’s new Chief Executive. He joined the firm in 2017 and held various roles including head of private bank Europe, Monaco and Switzerland, and CEO of Barclays Monaco. Gerard replaces Karen Frank who left in June to join Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan as a senior managing director, equities.

Industry veteran Robert “Bob” McCann is leaving UBS after more than a decade. He joined UBS in 2009 from Merrill Lynch. He was most recently chairman of UBS in the Americas.

Insurance

Swiss Re Corporate Solutions has named Allen Kwan as Head Customer Management, North America and Daniel Combes as Head Distribution Management, North America. Kwan will be responsible for the strategic relationship with corporate clients in both the U.S. and Canada, with oversight of a specialist team of account managers. He joined the firm in 2012 and currently serves as Head Sales, U.S. West Region. Combes will take the lead in developing strategic relationship with commercial insurance brokers in North America. He also joined Swiss Re CorSo in 2012 and currently serves as Head Sales, U.S. East Region.
