Buyside

Credit Suisse Asset Management has appointed Kevin Lawi as Head of Origination within the firm’s direct lending team. He will also assume the role of Managing Director and Portfolio Manager for private credit. He will be responsible for originating transactions across the capital structure including direct first-lien, unitranche, second-lien and preferred equity financings. Prior to CSAM, Lawi was a senior director, credit investments at PSP Investments.

Farallon Capital Management named Remy Ripoll as Head of Equity Volatility. Ripoll was previously co-head of equity derivatives at Deutsche Bank.

Banking

HSBC appointed Regina Lee as Head of Commercial Banking in Singapore. She replaces Alan Turner who was appointed Head of Commercial Banking in Canada. Most recently, Lee was managing director of corporate banking at HSBC Hong Kong where, she led the coverage team for TMT, consumer and retail, and commodities. She also spent three years as chief operating officer, commercial banking at HSBC Hong Kong.

Insurance

Lawrence Cheng, Managing Director and Co-Head of P&C Reinsurance of Peak Re, is leaving the firm after more than 8 years. He joined from Aon Benfield China. Since the firm’s founding in 2012, Cheng has been managing product and underwriting analytics functions, including business development, underwriting and P&C strategy.

Back / Middle Office

Ares Management named Indhira Arrington as Managing Director and Global Chief Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer. Before joining Ares, Arrington served as Wells Fargo’s senior vice president and head of targeted sourcing.

David Ingleson was named Chief Operating Officer for Asia Pacific at Broadridge Financial Solutions. He will oversee the firm’s regional implementation strategies, direct operations and support of capital market clients. Most recently, Ingleson was head of Asia-Pacific for Eagle Investment Systems, BNY Mellon’s fintech subsidiary.
