Buyside

Goldman Sachs Partner Stacy Selig is leaving the firm after 17 years. She will join Millennium Management as Deputy Chief Operating Officer.

Jana Haines was named Chief Strategy Officer at ARK Investment Management. Haines was previously managing director and head of index products for the Americas and EMEA and global head of fixed income indexes at MSCI.

Vontobel hired Jean-Michel Manry as Head of Fixed Income Trading in Zurich. Manry joined the firm from family office Rama Capital where he was an operational and trading adviser. Nicolas Hauser was also appointed as a Fixed Income Trader in Zurich and Pamela Gelles as a Senior Credit Analyst on the developed market corporate bonds team in New York. Hauser previously handled corporate and convertible bonds trading at Fisch Asset Management. Gelles was a credit analyst at BNP Paribas Asset Management.

Eric Cooperström was named Managing Director, Impact Investing and Natural Climate Solutions at Hancock Natural Resource Group (HNRG), a Manulife Investment Management company. Prior to joining HNRG, Cooperström was a senior director at NatureVest, where he was responsible for asset management and for developing the conservation impact investment strategy.

Brown Advisory appointed Chris Diaz, Ryan Myerberg and Colby Stilson as Portfolio Managers for the firm’s global sustainable fixed-income strategies. Prior to Brown Advisory, Diaz was co-head of global bonds at Janus Henderson Investors. Myerberg was head of absolute-return fixed income at Amundi while Stilson served as a managing partner at fintech investment firm TIFIN Group.

IBD / Capital Markets

Natixis named Sanjeev Kumar as Senior County Manager, Singapore and Head of Southeast Asia and South Asia corporate and investment banking. Kumer is the firmer APAC ex-Japan head of sector coverage and acquisition finance at Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group.

Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation has appointed David Koh as Deputy Head of Corporate Banking, Asia Pacific and Salim Zaman as Head of Sales and Trading, Global Treasury, Asia-Pacific and East Asia. Koh joined the firm from HSBC where he most recently led their global liquidity and cash management business in Singapore. Zaman previously worked for Citigroup where he spent more than 20 years in FX and sales.

Insurance

Sun Life Finance named Karim Gilani as President of International Hubs. International Hubs comprises Sun Life’s life, health, wealth and pensions businesses in Hong Kong, and the high net worth (HNW) businesses in Hong Kong, Singapore and Bermuda. Gilani is currently Asia CFO and head of strategic integration, responsible for finance, risk, actuarial, product, ALM, legal, investments, M&A and compliance.
