Buyside

Jacqueline Hunt, Head of Asset Management at Allianz SE and Allianz Life U.S., has stepped down from her responsibilities, after 5 years in the post. She will assume the role of strategic consultant to Group Chief Executive Oliver Bäte.

BNP Paribas Asset Management appointed Maya Bhandari as Global Head of Multi-Asset. Most recently, Bhandari served as executive director of multi-asset portfolio business at Columbia Threadneedle Investments.

Robeco named Karin van Baardwijk as the new CEO, effective January 1. Van Baardwijk is the firm’s current deputy CEO and COO.

Amisha Parekh was appointed Managing Director and Global Head of ESG for private equity at Blackstone. Parekh joins from Bloomberg where she led the firm’s ESG data acquisition and curation activities.

Belinda Gan joined Capital Group as its new Investment Director for Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) within the Europe and Asia client group. Gan previously worked for Schroders as investment director, global sustainability.

BNY Mellon Investment Management named Kristina Church as Head of Responsible Strategy. Prior to this, Church was head of sustainable solutions at Lombard Odier Investment Managers.

Kathleen Bochman joined Fidelity Investments as Managing Director of ESG research. Before joining Fidelity, Bochman was a vice president and director of ESG at Loomis Sayles.

Ryan Selwood was appointed Managing Director and Chief Development Officer at Carlyle Group. Selwood was previously head of direct private equity at Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, Toronto.

Strategic Investment Group appointed Christopher Lvoff as Co-Chief Investment Officer, working alongside Eric Bendickson, Markus Krygier and Tim O’Hara. Before that, Lvoff served as managing director of Goldman Sachs Asset Management’s multiasset solutions team.

Columbia Threadneedle appointed Yoshihisa Kojima as Representative Director and CEO, Head of Japan. Kojima relocated to Tokyo from Singapore where he served as executive director, Japan.

Lombard Odier Investment Managers hired Lorenzo Bernasconi as Head of Climate and Environmental Solutions. Before joining LOIM, Bernasconi was a managing director of innovative finance at The Rockefeller Foundation in New York, where he mobilized capital towards the UN’s sustainable development goals.

Investment Banking / Capital Markets

Goldman Sachs named Andy Tai as Head of Investment Banking in Southeast Asia. Tai, who will maintain his role as technology, media and telecom banker, will relocated to Singapore from Hong Kong. He started his career at Goldman Sachs in 2007 as an analyst in New York and was appointed managing director in 2019.

Citigroup appointed William Pang as Head of Natural Resources and Clean Energy Transition (NRCET) Investment Banking unit in Asia, in addition to his role as lead of infrastructure investment banking in Asia.

Chris Laskowski joined Jefferies as Asia Investment Banking Head. Most recently, Laskowski was chief executive at MSA Capital.

Insurance

Munich Re’s insurtech Digital Partners has announced the appointment of Courtney Hill as President, North America. Hill joined Digital Partners in 2018 and previously worked for three other large insurance firms in various capacities, including field underwriter, product analyst, and product manager, for both personal and commercial lines of business.

D.E. Shaw appointed Maja Hazell as Managing Director and Head of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
