Philip La Pierre was named Chief Executive of Europe at LaSalle Investment Management. He replaces Karen Brennan, who was appointed chief financial officer at LaSalle’s parent company, JLL. Before joining LaSalle IM, La Pierre was head and CIO of Continental Europe in Munich.

Mathieu Clavel has joined PIMCO as Head of Private Credit, Europe. In this new role, he will manage the firm’s European special situations business and work with the firm’s portfolio management team in its traditional, hedge fund and private strategy groups to seek out potential opportunities in private capital solutions, stressed and distressed corporate credit. Clavel is the former head of European and Asian corporate credit and co-head of Europe at Sculptor Capital Management.

Bryn Mawr appointed Brooke Jones as CIO of its $888 million endowment, effective October 2020. Jones previously served as a managing director at Carnegie Corporation.

Mark Redman has been appointed Head of Global Private Markets operations at Aberdeen Standard Investments. Before that, Redman was global head of private equity of Canadian pension fund giant Omers.

Kiran Raj has joined Cordiant Capital as Head of Southeast Asia, focusing on deal origination and investment executive within the region. He was formerly chief financial officer and director for Southeast Asia at KrisEnergy, chief executive officer at Brighton Capital Advisors, and head of Southeast Asia investment banking execution and director at CLSA Asia-Pacific Markets.

UBS CEO Sergio Ermotti is leaving the firm by end of October. He served in this post for almost nine years and will not maintain an advisory role after his exit. Ermotti’s successor, Ralph Hamers, will formally take over on November 1.
