Buyside

David Beacham and Edward Aram-Dixon have joined Carmignac’s UK sales team as Business Development Director, Head of Regional Sales and Business Development Manager respectively. Beacham previously served as head of distribution at Goji Investment while Aram-Dixon worked in the UK strategic accounts sales unit of Schroder Investment Management.

Fidelity International has appointed Jenn-Hui Tan to Global Head of stewardship and sustainable investing. In this newly created role, Tan will be responsible for setting the firm’s strategy and policies on engagement, voting and ESG integration. He used to hold the role of head of capital markets and corporate governance for Asia-Pacific.

AXA Investment Managers has appointed Rachel Basarab-Horwath as an Institutional Sales Director. She joins from Mercer where she was recently a sales director and senior investment consultant.

J.P. Morgan Asset Management expands its global fixed-income unit by appointing Brian Lysiak as Head of Trading and Kay Herr as Head of Research. Lysiak was the former head of North American credit trading at BlackRock. Before moving to the fixed income group, Herr was previously a portfolio manager and director of research on JPMAM’s global equities team.

IBD / Capital Markets

Goldman Sachs top investment banker Hazem Shawki is joining Credit Suisse as Head of Investment Banking and Capital Markets in the Middle East, Turkey, and Africa. Shawki’s reputation as a dealmaker with well-connected relationships with Saudi state-backed firms will play an advantage to Credit Suisse’s plan in growing its presence in the region.

Insurance

Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. has hired Nick Burns for the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of its Employee Benefits Consulting Division in the UK. Prior to joining Gallagher, Burns was the CEO of PIFC Group, Bluefin Corporate Consulting and Capita Employee Solutions.

Jim Dunlap has been appointed as Head of Construction Broking in North America at Willis Towers Watson. Dunlap will oversee the insurance brokerage offerings aimed at a portfolio of construction clients, which includes contractors, project owners, developers, architects, and engineers in the region. He previously served as head of casualty construction broking, North America.

Pictet Wealth Management has hired Jeff See as new Chief Operating Officer for its North Asia business. Before joining Pictet, See was a senior advisor at Synpulse.
