Perella Weinberg’s outsourced chief investment officer division has formed a five-person strategic advisory board, consisting of Chris Bittman – Agility CEO & CIO and partner, Perella Weinberg Partners Catherine Clark – Founder & Director, CASE i3 Initiative on Impact Investing at Duke University Michael Kennedy – Senior Client Partner, Korn Ferry Erik Lundberg – Chief Investment Officer, University of Michigan, and Robert Pozen – Former Vice Chairman, Fidelity Investments to provide strategic advice clients on mergers, acquisitions, defense advisory, financial restructuring, private capital raising, and pension matters. Mr. Pozen, will Chair the Board.
Antares Capital has named Greg Lawton as Managing Director, Asset Management Group a new position at the firm. He will report to Timothy Lyne, Senior Managing Director and Asset Management Leader.
Morten Hemmingsen has been hired by AP Pension to head up a new internal fixed income team as part of their strategy to expand in-house investment management capability.
Group of Boutique Asset Managers have appointed Tim Warrington as Chairman. He joins Jose Luis Jimenez, chief investment officer at Mapfre and South African Hlelo Giyose, CEO of Johannesburg based First Avenue Asset Management, on the Board. Ladislao Larrain, the CEO of Chilean asset manager Larrain Vial Asset Management was also elected. Beltran Parages retires from the board by rotation after three years. John Morgan, MD of Fortuna Asset Management Communications remains Board Secretary.
Chetan Gulati, has been hired by hedge fund manager David Russekoff as he looks to build the investment team at his new firm Smith Cove Capital. Russekoff and Gulati worked together at Perry Capital.
P. Schoenfeld Asset Management has named John McVeigh of TIG Advisors as Deputy Portfolio Manager of U.S. merger arbitrage. He was recently Managing Director TIG Advisors focused on M&A, corporate restructurings and merger related special situations.
Man Group has announced two senior changes with Head of Sales Steve Desmyter moving to Head of Responsible Investment and Jason Mitchell currently Equity Investment Executive becoming Sustainability Strategist, in addition to their current roles. They will drive Man Group’s responsible investment capabilities. Desmyter will focus on incorporating environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) considerations in the investment decision-making process. While, Mitchell will develop the strategy, organization and methodology to support their ESG efforts for its ongoing responsible investment focus.

Goldman Sachs has hired Credit Suisse Head of the business and consumer services group Jeff Douthit as Head of Global Business and Consumer Services. He joins as a partner, and be a member of Goldman’s industrials group in Chicago.
Sonny Lin has been hired by ANZ as new Head of Markets for Taiwan. He has moved from Standard Chartered. Mr. Lin will be responsible for ANZ’s markets business in Taiwan, including sales, trading and balance sheet.
Axel Granger, has joined Standard Chartered as a new managing director in M&A in southeast Asia.
Mizuho has hired Dev Gulrajani as an associate on the European syndicate desk. He will work across asset classes but will focus on corporates. He leaves the same position at Deutsche Bank.
Bank of Ireland Corporate Banking has promoted Peter Mullen to Head of Leveraged Acquisition Finance. His position as Head of Syndications is filled by Paul McKenna. Mullen will manage teams in London, Paris, Stamford Connecticut, Chicago Illinois and support functions in Dublin.
MetLife has hired Sanjeev Kapur to lead its brand transformation initiatives across Asia. He joins as Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of Asia and joins the Asia Leadership Team.
LaRoy Brantley has been named Principal and Consultant by Meketa Investment Group, a new position at the firm. He will be responsible for investment policy design, asset allocation modeling, public markets manager due diligence and fund performance analysis.

Patrick Fürer has been appointed Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer at Notenstein La Roche, part of Raiffeisen Switzerland where he will also serve as Deputy Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Basil Heeb.
Almudena Benedit has been appointed head of Portfolio Management Iberia at Julius Baer. Ms. Benedit will be responsible for the team of Julius Baer Gestión SGIIC, succeeding Pelayo Gil-Turner Smith.

CBRE Group has named Andrew Deng as Managing Director for Western China. Mr. Deng will be based in Chengdu and oversees their growing Western China platform.
Mark Lehmkuhler, has joined Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe as an M&A and Private Equity partner in their Hong Kong office. Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe lost a number of partners at the beginning of 2017.
KKR have appointed Go Yamashita as new Head of Capital Markets in their Japanese unit where he will oversee a team who provide tailored capital markets advice to KKR, their portfolio companies and other clients. He will also manage relationships and push business development with institutional investors in Japan.

Stifel have hired Wells Fargo complex manager Kevin Ortmeyer in their drive to recruit new advisers. Mr Ortmeyer joins as regional director in St. Louis and will further Stifel’s expansion efforts in the middle of the country: Colorado, Illinois, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma and Texas.
Barclays have appointed former Goldman Sachs’ Managing Director, Asita Anche as they look to strengthen their trading business. This follows Tim Throsby’s appointment as Head of the Investment Bank.
Jeffrey Brill formerly of Goldman Sachs has been hired by Citi to lead their US West Coast prime finance sales team. He replaces Michael Mead, who moved to another role in prime finance in New York.
BNY Mellon has appointed Peter Salvage to a new position as Global Head, Hedge Fund Services. He moves from his position as an MD with SS&C Technologies hedge fund services division SS&C GlobeOp in London and New York. Mr. Salvage will drive growth in their hedge fund services business.
Scott Douglass has been appointed US Head of Sales for its Commission Management Services by Instinet. Mr. Douglass will be responsible for the US CMS Sales of Instinet’s CMS products including: BrokerShare, T*Share, Broker Vote, Budget Tool, Research Interaction Tracker and RQ Connect within its Plazma platform.
