Bastian Dittrich has been appointed Global Head of Business Development Real Assets, at LRI Group. His role will be to help grow the Real Assets team alongside the wider LRI Group business, strengthening the positioning and increasing their footprint in the real assets sector.

Vontobel has appointed Diana Chiu as Credit Analyst based in New York. She leaves Barclays Capital, where she was a Credit Analyst covering media, technology and consumer goods.

Following Manfred Knof’s resignation as Head of Germany at Allianz, Klaus-Peter Röhler, previously head of Allianz Italy, has been named as his replacement.

Ros de San Pío  has been appointed as Head of Institutional Sales at GVC Gaesco Gestión, where she will take responsibility for the distribution of a range of products of collective investment institutions, including the replicas of three of its Luxembourg-domiciled funds (GVC Gaesco Small Caps, GVC Gaesco Patrimonialista and GVC Gaesco Absolute Return).

Sebastien Peltier has been appointed as Business Development Manager within Aberdeen AM’s sales team France & Monaco, focusing on the distribution segment.

Angel Island Capital has appointed Dev Gopalan as their CEO. Gopalan was most recently was head of U.S. private credit at investment firm Kohlberg Kravis Roberts.

Franklin Templeton, has named Louis Hsu as Vice President and ETF Portfolio Manager. He moves from BlackRock where he was vice president in beta strategies and multi-asset strategies.

Neuberger Berman, has added the team from Breton Hill Capital, an investment firm managing approximately USD $2.0 billion (as of August 31, 2017) in client assets to their books. The team comprises co-Founders, Ray Carroll, Simon Griffiths, and Frank Maeba, supported by 11 additional investment professionals, all of whom are expected to move across.

Sycamore Partners has named John Lederer as a Senior Advisor. Lederer will serve as the Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors of office supply chain Staples, and its newly formed and independent United States and Canadian retail businesses.

Private Banking / Wealth Management

Northern Trust Wealth Management has appointed Clint Zweifel to President of Northern Trust Wealth Management – Missouri, a role previously held by Thomas Collins, who continues to serve as Northern Trust Wealth Management Chairman-Missouri.

John Morton, Group CEO of Guernsey-based European Wealth has decided to step down after recently announcing he would be taking an indefinite leave of absence following the company’s reported loss for the first half of 2017.

Stifel has hired advisors, Amandus Frey, from Wells Fargo, Mark Cissel, from Morgan Stanley.

IBD / Capital Markets

Bank of America Merrill Lynch has promoted Jim O’Neil to co-Head of Corporate and Investment Banking in Europe, a position that he will run the alongside Bob Elfring.

Francisco Sottomayor has been named Head of Global Markets for Spain and Portugal at Societe Generale.  Mr. Sottomayor was most recently Head of Investment Banking for Axia Ventures Group in Lisbon.


Ex-British spy chief Robert Hannigan has been appointed as a cybersecurity adviser to  Hiscox Ltd.
