Asset Management

SEI has named David Hintz as U.S. Equity Portfolio Manager. He will take  responsibility for managing all U.S. large-cap equity strategies, reporting to Jason Collins, Global Head of Equity Portfolio Management in the Investment Management Unit at SEI.


Deutsche Bank has made a range of senior management changes including Reinhard Bellet, Head of Passive Investment Products, who will leave this year; Pierre Cherki, Head of Alternative Assets, and Stefan Kreuzkamp, Chief Investment Officer of Active Products, will co-head the Asset Management arm.


BNP Paribas Asset Management, has appointed Chris Hofmann as Senior Sales Manager for German-speaking clients in ETF and indexed fund teams.


Candriam Investors Group has promoted Koen Van de Maele to Global Head of Investment Solutions and Member of the Executive Committee, with responsibility for the design of tailor-made investment solutions, periodic product portfolio review and product innovation. He will also develop the European ETF Capital Markets.


JPMorgan Chase and Co’s asset management arm has hired Mark Oldcorn as Head of International Insurance Solutions. He was previously EMEA Head of Insurance Asset Management at Goldman Sachs Group Inc’s asset management branch.


Eaton Vance Management (International) Limited has hired Thomas Body as Business Development Director for Germany and Austria, regulatory approval for their establishment a local EVMI branch in Frankfurt. Body is responsible for expanding EVMI’s client relationships with German pension funds, investment consultants, insurance companies and institutional fund buyers, as well as promoting EVMI investment strategies and identifying new distribution opportunities in Germany.


Hermes Investment Management has appointed Silvia Dall’Angelo as Senior Economist. She moves from hedge fund Prologue Capital.


Alexandre Déruaz has joined Unigestion as Head of Portfolio Construction for equities products. Déruaz joins from Lombard Odier, where he was most recently head of systematic equities and alternatives.


Edwin Velzel has been named as Else Bos’ replacement as CEO at PGGM, when Bos leaves to become Executive Director and Chair for Prudential Supervision at De Nederlandsche Bank.


Van Eck Global has named Michael Geister as Sales Manager looking after sales in Germany and Austria as they look to grow their presence in the European market.


Sascha Specketer has been appointed as Invesco PowerShares’ Head in Germany, Austria and Eastern Europe.


Dan Franklin has been hired as Head of Wholesale, UK by Pictet Asset Management.


Natixis Global Asset Management has appointed Carlos Vilares, as Head of Insurance for the UK & Ireland in the company’s Institutional Business Development team. He will report directly to Euan MacLaren, Managing Director and Head of UK & Ireland Institutional Business.


Hedge Funds

Skylar Capital Advisers has hired Brenden O’Neill as a natural gas trader with an emphasis on options strategies, for its trading desk. He will be based at their office in Houston.


IBD / Capital Markets

Jaideep Khanna will take over as the sole Head of Barclays in Asia Pacific with immediate effect following Reid Marsh’s appointment as Head of Banking for Europe, Middle East and Asia Pacific.


Insurance

Mr Martin Gingg has been appointed new CEO ‘ad interim’ of Helvetia’s Asia Operations. He will report directly to the CEO of Specialty Markets at Helvetia, Mr David Ribeaud, and takes responsibility for developing Specialty Lines in Asia and execution of strategic initiatives supporting the company’s long-term growth.

Mercer has appointed Samuel Lisse from Vita Collective Foundation, as CEO of its Swiss business.

Juan Alejandro Ramos has been named Senior Wealth Director for BNY Mellon Wealth Management’s office in Greenwich (Connecticut, US), where he takes responsibility for business development. He will report to MD Chris Griffin.


Leonteq has announced that Jan Schoch, its CEO and founder is to step down to the position of Senior Advisor Strategic Growth Initiatives as Asian business grows in importance.

Hamilton Lane has appointed Nick Kavanagh as Vice President of their Co-Investment and Secondary Teams in their London office.
