Lazard Asset Management, has recruited Jennifer Anderson, a former pension fund manager at TPT Retirement and Nikita Singhal, an ex-World Bank analyst as its new co-heads of responsible investment.

UBS’ Head of Asset Management in Asia, Rene Buehlmann is planning a sabbatical, and will be replaced effective on Friday by Raymond Yin a veteran of Goldman Sachs who joined UBS last month as Head of China in Asset Management.

Morgan Stanley has appointed new managers on two of its emerging markets funds; Pierre Horvilleur has been taken off both the Morgan Stanley Frontier Markets Portfolio and Morgan Stanley Emerging Markets Small Cap Portfolio funds and will be replaced by Steven Quattry on the $282.9 million Frontier Market Portfolio fund, joining co-manager Tim Drinkall. Omair Ansari has taken over from Horvilleur on the $58.8 million Emerging Market Small Cap Portfolio fund, also co-run by Tim Drinkall.

State Street Global Advisors has hired two ETF Product Development Specialists from Invesco; Antoine Boulet and Luca Zanoni, who join from the product and sales strategy team at Invesco.

Michael Loretan, Head of the Asset Management division and deputy CEO of the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority, has died at the age of 53 after a long illness.

Pascal Duval, the former Chief Executive of Russell Investments’ business in Europe, Middle East and Africa, has joined Amundi to bolster its global retail business.

First Republic Bank, has appointed Greg Zappas, as Senior Wealth Manager, in Newport Beach.

BNP Paribas’ Head of Non Resident Indian (NRI) business in Hong Kong and Singapore, Vikas Jaidka has resigned from the bank, less than a year after taking up the position.

VP Bank’s Head of Private Banking in Singapore,  Kimmis Pun has resigned, just ten months into the job.

Alfred W. Moeckli, CEO of VP Bank, will relinquish all his functions at the end of January, to devote himself to new assignments. Urs Monstein will take over as CEO on an interim basis.
