Asset Management

Northern Trust Asset Management have announced that Executive Vice President and Head of Funds and Managed Accounts Group, Shundrawn A. Thomas,  will succeed Stephen N. Potter as President from the beginning of  October, when the latter becomes Vice Chairman of parent company Northern Trust Corp. He will oversee strategic initiatives and develop select clients and prospects.


Tim Buckley, Chief Investment Officer at Vanguard has been appointed President and Director by the Board of Directors, succeeding Bill McNabb, who stays on as Chairman of the Board.


PGIM Fixed Income has announced Nathan Sheets as Chief Economist and Head of Global Macroeconomic Research, replacing Jurgen Odenius who has taken up a role as economic counselor within the firm.


Janus Capital’s Chief Operating Officer and Head of Asia-Pacific, Gigi Chan, will leave at the end of July as a result of the merger between Janus and London-based Henderson Global Investors.


Herve Guez, Head of Responsible Investment Research at Mirova, will take on additional responsibility as Head of Equities and Fixed Income, taking charge of coordinating fund management teams in Paris.


Lucette Yvernault, has been appointed Portfolio Engineer and Team Leader for the new fixed income Portfolio Engineering Group at Fidelity International, where she will help shape and develop the vision of PEG, working closely with Fidelity’s investment, technology and distribution teams. Ms. Yvernault joins from Schroders Investment Management where she was a Global Credit Portfolio Manager.


Gavin Rochussen has been announced as new CEO at Polar Capital Holdings, succeeding Tim Woolley who moves to a non-executive position. Mr. Rochussen was group CEO of J O Hambro Capital Management.


Columbia Threadneedle Investments has appointed  Jesco Schwarz as Sales Director Savings and Cooperative Banks, a new position at the firm. Jesco will be based in Frankfurt and will report to their German Country Head Florian Uleer. He was most recently a Sales Manager for Savings Banks and Cooperative Banks at Frankfurt-Trust Investment-Gesellschaft mbH.


Anders Schelde, CIO of Nordea Life & Pension in Denmark, will move to MP Pension, as new CIO from the beginning of November this year.


Banking

Citi has announced the appointment of two new senior managers in their Commercial Bank in Asia Pacific. Amit Dhawan becomes their Asia Pacific Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SME) business head, based in Singapore. Dhawan moves from the Commercial Bank in Asia, where he is Head of Commercial Lending Management. Rodney Lee also joins Citi, as Asia Commercial Bank Digitization Head, where he will focus on formulating and executing the Commercial Bank’s digitization strategy and implementing a radically digitized and simplified client experience. He moves from Commercial Bank in Singapore where he is Head of Sales Strategy & Client experience.


Private Banking / Wealth Management

Two Wells Fargo advisers, John Houchin and Jim Ernst of Houchin Ernst Wealth Advisors, managing $230 million in client assets with more than $1.6 million in annual production have joined Raymond James Financial Services in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.


Jefferies (Americas) has recruited Wells Fargo advisers  Julian Rodrigo Soto and Santiago Ocampo, who oversaw more than $400 million in client assets.


Donald Rognon has been named Senior Vice President, Senior Relationship Manager for Key Private Bank in Idaho, responsible for working with high net worth families and institutions delivering tailored financial advice, investment strategies, risk management solutions, and custom credit.


Private Equity / Direct Investment

KKR & Co have promoted Scott Nuttall and Joe Bae, to the newly formed roles of co-presidents and co-chief operating officers, responsible for day-to-day operations. They also join KKR’s board of directors. Co-founders, cousins Henry Kravis and George Roberts, remain co-CEOs and co-Chairmen.


James Martin, has been appointed as Principal to lead the new Hamilton Lane office in Sydney Australia and to head up their Australian and New Zealand business.


QIC has appointed Leonie Wilkinson as a Director, Investment Specialist for their real estate clients in Sydney and Reza Basharzad takes on the equivalent role in their Los Angeles office. Wilkinson was most recently Head of the Client Capital Group of Australia and New Zealand for LaSalle Investment Management. Basharzad was senior vice president at Paladin Realty Partners.
