Asset Management

Markus Banna has been appointed Director Business Development at Danske Invest building their sales competence in Germany. The position which is new created will focus on supporting institutional clients.


Simon Clark has joined TIME Investments  as Business Development Manager where he takes responsibility for driving their long income funds. He was previously Senior Wholesale Sales Director at Aviva Investors.


Banking

Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group Inc , has named Sanjiv Vohra as co-Head of the Global Corporate Banking Division in Asia and Oceania. Vohra was previously Head of Corporate Banking, Asia Pacific at Deutsche Bank.


Fintech

Credit Suisse has set up a data laboratory, which is to be run by former Yahoo data expert Jacob Sisk.


Hedge Funds

Alex Birdall, a director in Credit Suisse’s capital services team, has joined Sachem Head Capital Management, as an MD in their marketing and investor relations team in New York. Euan Stevenson, who was with Barclays capital introductions team, also joins Sachem Head as a Managing Director.


IBD / Capital Markets

Baird’s global investment banking business has appointed Craig Rogowski  as a Director on its global technology and services team. He joins from Pacific Crest Securities. Mr. Rogowska will focus on the software sector.


Deutsche Bank has promoting the head of its Global Equities Business, Tom Patrick to the prominent New York-based position of CEO Americas, replacing Bill Woodley. In this role Patrick will take on complex legal, political and regulatory matters in this important geography for Deutsche.


Barclays has hired Pamela Yeung as Head of Equities Capital Markets Distribution for China. The veteran Citigroup banker most recently worked for China Minsheng. Barclays has also hire Angela Hu from J.P. Morgan as Head of China Financial Sponsors.


Private Banking / Wealth Management

Phil Shaffer is to leave Morgan Stanley and form Halite Partners, his own RIA. Halite will be Columbus based, and have an office in West Palm Beach, Florida, with plans to open another in Naples.


Thirdrock, has hired Arthur Fong a veteran Asia banker, as a Senior Client Advisor.  Martin Lim from Standard Chartered has also been appointed as a Senior Client Advisor earlier as well as Richard Lewis, Rainer Teo and Nikhil Niyogi as Client Advisors.


Private Equity / Direct Investment

Maven Capital, has appointed Craig Hopwood as Investment Director in their Manchester office. He moves from HSBC where he was responsible for looking after a portfolio of larger private equity-backed businesses across the region.


Andreas Eule has joined the management team at LBBW Immobilien Capital,  responsible for the development business in Munich. market. Eule moves from Accumulata Immobilien Development GmbH where he was responsible for project development and acquisition.
