Asset Management

SYZ Asset Management has appointed Thierry Cherf as Head of Institutional Sales – Switzerland. Cherf will be responsible for defining and implementing the strategy to increase SYZ Asset Management’s engagement among Swiss institutional clients such as pension funds and insurance companies.


JPMorgan Asset Management has named Patrick Thomson as Head of Europe, the Middle East and Africa ahead of wide-ranging changes to the way investment firms do business in the region. Thomson replaces Mike O’Brien, who is relocating to New York.


Franklin Templeton has announced the promotion of Mats Eltoft to Head of Distribution for the Nordic region.


Franklin Templeton’s Head of European Equity Strategies, Dylan Ball will lead management of the FTF-Franklin European Opportunities fund, as the firm integrates its European equity team into the Templeton Global Equity Group.


Allianz Global Investors has hired Anna Vigliotti as Head of Institutional Business Development for Italy, from December 2017. Vigliotti will be responsible for developing and managing the institutional business at AllianzGI in Italy.

Wells Fargo & Co has expanded the role of Mary Mack, who heads its community banking operations, to include overseeing its consumer lending business.

Aon Benfield has hired Rupert Evans as a Broker on their Credit & Financial Risks team. He was most recently an assistant underwriter within the Treaty Specialty division of Liberty Specialty Markets, and has specialised in underwriting political risk, and credit & surety business, as well as other crisis management lines.


Allianz Partners has appointed Paula Covey as Chief Marketing Officer for Health, in a “dual role” responsible for marketing Allianz Partners’ international health business under the Allianz Care brand, and also helping to drive their plans to grow health activities and services across all of its lines of business.


Private Banking / Wealth Management

Brian Oard has been appointed Wilmington Trust ‘s President of the Western Region for Wealth Advisory and will lead the expansion of their wealth management services throughout the Western United States.


Fieldpoint Private has poached JPMorgan advisors, William Christian, Tammi Lauder, Michael Lent and William Lent, who collectively managing more than $700 million.


Banque Syz named Yasmina Barin Head of Advisory, where she will lead a team of seven specialists.

Nuveen has appointed Louise Kavanagh as MD for Real Estate, based in its Hong Kong office, where she will focus on providing regional real estate expertise to Nuveen affiliate, TH Real Estate.
