Buyside

Joseph Sullivan was named Chief Executive Officer of Wells Fargo Asset Management (WFAM). Before that, Sullivan served as chairman and CEO of Legg Mason.

Brian Tierney was appointed Senior Managing Director and Global Head of Infrastructure Portfolio Operations and Asset Management at Blackstone Group. Tierney previously served as executive vice president and chief financial officer of American Electric Power. Meanwhile, the firm also named Stevi Petrelli as Managing Director and Head of Innovations Investments. Before Blackstone, Petrelli was part of the strategy team at Goldman Sachs, where she helped oversee the firm’s principal strategic investments portfolio.

Markus Scheufler is joining Millennium Management’s equity long/short real estate investing team. Prior to Millennium, Scheufler spent 11 years at Deutsche Bank in London, most recently as managing director and head of European financials research.

Brevan Howard has appointed Gregoire Vidal as Head of Systematic Manager Selection and Platform Development. Vidal joins from ExodusPoint where he was head of business development for quant strategies.

Lazard Asset Management named Robert Wall as Managing Director and Head of New Sustainable Private Infrastructure Strategy. Wall is a former partner at Federated Hermes and a member of private markets infrastructure investment committee.

CBRE Global Investors named Helen Gurfel as Head of Global Sustainability and Innovation. Gurfel was previously managing director for LENx, the venture group of Lennar Corp.

Joseph Pinto was named Head of Distribution for Asia Pacific, Europe, Latin America and Middle East at Natixis Investment Management. Pinto was previously the firm’s chief operating officer.

Fidelity International appointed Jenny Segal as Global Head of Workplace Investing Distribution. Prior to joining Fidelity, Segal was managing director and head of European distribution and global head of consultants at AMG.

Private Banking / Wealth Management

Lombard Odier appointed Carol Chan as Chief Operating Officer. The firm also hired Annie Lim as Senior Relationship Manager. Chan previously served as managing director for regional and global operations at Credit Suisse. Meanwhile, Lim also joins from Credit Suisse where she was a senior relationship manager.

Back / Middle Office

Janus Henderson Group named James Lowry as Global Chief Operating Officer, effective October 1. Lowry is currently the COO of State Street Alpha, State Street’s front-to-back investment management platform division.

Linda Forish joined Redwood Capital Management as Chief Operating Officer. Before that, Forish spent 10 years at Paulson & Co where she initially joined as senior vice president in risk management. She was appointed COO in 2016.

Indosuez Wealth Management appointed Bernard Mueller as Head of Risk for Asia and Kristin Chung as Head of Risk for Hong Kong. Mueller relocated from Geneva where he served as the firm’s head of credit & risk wealth management in Switzerland. Prior to Indosuez, Chung was head of credit risk in HSBC Private Bank in Hong Kong.
