Buyside

PGIM Real Estate appointed Raimondo Amabile as Global CIO, overseeing the firm’s global macro investment strategy. Before that, he was a managing director leading Europe and Latin America.

Sarah Peasey joined Neuberger Berman as a Director of European ESG investing. Peasey joins from Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM) where she was head of responsible investment strategy.

Invesco named Maximilian Kufer as Head of ESG for Private Markets. Before joining Invesco, Kufer was global sustainability manager at AXA Investment Managers.

TCW Group was appointed Olivia Albrecht as Global Head of ESG. She joins from Pacific Investment Management Co. (PIMCO) as head of ESG business strategy.

Magnetar Capital appointed Stuart Davies as Head of Business Development, Systematic Investing. Davies previously served as co-head of AB Custom Alternative Solutions at AllianceBernstein.

Matt Weinstein, Head of North American distressed-debt trading at Morgan Stanley has left the firm to join Hudson Bay Capital.

Daniel Murray was named CEO of EFG Asset Management Switzerland, in addition to his roles as deputy chief investment officer and global head of research. Murray joined the firm in 2003.

Investcorp appointed Laura Coquis as Global Head of Institutions. Prior to this, Coquis was a partner at Aviditi Advisors.

Ex-Nomura Johnny Heng has joined Equities First as a Managing Director and Head of Singapore. Heng was most recently chief client officer at Nomura Wealth Management, where he oversaw all key client relationships.

Victoria Sharpe was named Managing Principal and Head of Real Estate, Asia Pacific at HSBC Asset Management. Sharpe joins from DWS, where she served as managing director and head of real estate for Asia Pacific.

Haitong International hired ex-Goldman Sachs Shengzu Wang as Managing Director and Global Head of Asset Management. Wang is the former co-head of investments strategy group Asia and was responsible for China and emerging market Asia macro strategies and tactical allocation at Goldman Sachs.

Private Banking / Wealth Management

Robert Suss joined Pictet Wealth Management to head the firm’s wealth management business. He replaces Heinrich Adami who is set to retire in December. Suss spent the last 18 years at Goldman Sachs, where he recently served as managing director, head of UK and Ireland private wealth management and head of wealth management solutions.

Thomas Ang was appointed Head of Wealth Planning for Asia Pacific at Credit Suisse. Ang joined the firm in 2008 and was instrumental in setting up the bank’s family office services business in 2011.

IBD / Capital Markets

Goldman Sachs named Kevin Sneader as Co-President of Asia ex-Japan. Sneader previously served as McKinsey’s global managing partner.

Insurance

Zurich named current Chief Financial Officer Paolo Mantero as Group Chief Strategy Officer, effective January 1. In this new role, he will oversee all strategy resources globally and strengthen coordination and collaboration between the wider group as well as regional offices.
