People Moves: November 1-7

Buyside

Simon England-Brammer was named Head of Europe, the Middle East and Africa and Asia-Pacific Institutional at Nuveen. England-Brammer is presently head of Asia Pacific and is set to relocate to London from Hong Kong.

Mariano Belinky, Global CEO of Santander Asset Management, is leaving the firm after 3 years into the role.

Christine Chow joined HSBC Asset Management as Head of Stewardship and Engagement. Prior to HSBC AM, Chow was a member of the London School of Economics’ investment committee. Likewise, she is on the board of the International Corporate Governance Network and is an honorary adviser to the Financial Reporting Council Hong Kong.

PGIM Real Estate appointed Matthew Yao as Head of China. Yao most recently served as head of China at CBRE Global Investors.

Ross Curran was named Head of Responsible Investing at Alcentra. Curran has been with the firm for 15 years and will retain his responsibilities as a liquid credit portfolio manager. The firm also hired Adriana Carvallo as Head of ESG Integration. Carvallo joins from Norges Bank Investment Management.

Robeco named Colin Graham as Head of Multi-Asset Strategies and Co-Head of Sustainable Multi-Asset Solutions. Graham was previously CIO for multi-asset solutions at Eastspring Investments.

Johann Santer was appointed Regional Lead for private banking and wealth in APAC ex-Japan at Fidelity. Santer joined the firm in 2018 as head of private banking business for Asia ex-Japan.

First Sentier Investors named Lauren Prendiville as Managing Director and Head of Distribution in Asia. Prior to this, she has been the firm’s chief executive of Singapore since 2020.

Insurance

Anusha Thavarajah was named Regional Chief Executive Officer of Allianz Asia Pacific. Currently, she is the firm’s regional CEO of life and health. Thavarajah joined the firm in 2019 from AIA Malaysia.
